Peckham Levels provides affordable and inspiring space for independent businesses, artists and local entrepreneurs to work, grow, trade and learn. By helping grassroots talent get off the ground, our aim is to increase local employment, improve the local economy and create new opportunities for education and inspiration. But at the heart of the project is our ambition to share the amazing skills, ideas and space inside this building with the community around us. To benefit as many people as possible, from all areas of our community.

Here's how we do it...

Local Members

Local Members

75% of members from Peckham

This project is about creating opportunities for local people, so we put people who live or run their business in the local area first. 75% of our members are from Peckham and 85% from our local borough of Southwark.

Creators in Residence

Creators in Residence

10 discounted studios for local talent

We offer 10 of our studios at extra-affordable rates for local people who otherwise might not be able to pay for membership. They are offered at 65% discounts and provide space for 12 members over one year residencies.

Sharing Skills

Sharing Skills

1 hour each week from every member

All our members invest a minimum of 1 hour each week into positive local projects. They share their skills, energy and time to offer training , work experience, and community collaboration. In total our members contribute more than 4,000 hours each year.

Sharing Space

Sharing Space

Discounted event spaces for community hire

Event and community spaces in the building will be available for the community to hire at super affordable rates at least 25% of the available time. The idea is to offer a new venue in the heart of Peckham for community events, local meetings and charitable activities.
