Introducing Canard. A brand-new foodie venture from two South London boys, Jake and Hugo. Canard aims to reinvent the way we think about the humble duck, introducing innovative duck dishes with a focus on seasonal and responsible eating.

With a focus on Confit Duck, Cheeses and Home-made Chutneys, Canard will be bringing traditional French food to the masses. This will be the first time the boys have run a permanent residency and we already can’t wait to try their mouthwatering dishes!! 

So, where were you before Peckham Levels?

“We’ve been running regular supper clubs from Jake’s flat in Peckham to refine our menu and get everything perfect before opening.  We are also planning to go and spend some time in France for some recipe inspirations.”

The boys are heading to France this summer, visiting farms and working with local French chefs to create new and exciting dishes in time for our opening this Autumn. They will be focusing on the region of Gascony in Southern France, which can lay some claim to being the birth place of Confit Duck!! And, some of the most tried and tested recipes in the world. 

You can follow 'Team Canard' on Instagram @Canardpeckham for recipe ideas and updates on their trip. They will be eating and drinking their way through the very best fruits, cheeses, breads, wines and Ducks France has to offer. Jealous much?!
