You might recognise Hao Hao Chi from their regular spots at Oval farmer's market and West Norwood Feast. They got started trading South London markets and other London festivals and pop-ups. Now they're ready to move into their first permanent site, serving up handmade regional Chinese street food from one of the seven street food style kiosks on Levels 5 & 6.
Using the freshest ingredients, Hao Hao Chi literally means “very good eat” and is a popular phrase in China to express the joy of eating delicious food.
The trio spent five years living and travelling in China and discovered that Chinese cuisine was as fascinatingly diverse as the country itself. After returning to the UK, they set up Hao Hao Chi with the aim of introducing regional Chinese food to the streets of London, steering away from the more common Cantonese cooking that is found in the UK.
